This 750.000m2 residential and commercial development’s lighting upgrade and enhancement included all street and public realm lighting. The investigation began with a site survey to identify existing issues and create an as-built lighting documentation package, including a lighting inventory. The proposed solutions for the deficient street lighting scheme relied primarily on retrofitting existing lighting poles to meet IESNA road lighting standards while minimizing expenditure and maximizing ROI. The overall result is a 65% increase in average illumination levels, improved uniformity, and a 32% reduction in energy consumption.
