The Lighting Designer worked closely with the exhibit designer and the staff at Northrop Grumman. Northrop Grumman is a collection of more than 20 companies first started in 1939 that supports the aerospace, technology, and defense industries. Its development history highlights include the Flying Wing concept, the Apollo Lunar Module, aerospace composites, Mars Rover guidance systems, and the James Webb Space Telescope.
The primary purpose of the exhibits is to be part of the introduction of new employees to the rich history of the company. The lighting designer developed the lighting scheme and directed the aiming and programming of the lighting system to dramatically enhance the exhibit experience.
