Because the podium is the closest element to the marina promenade, focusing on it had the greatest impact, in addition to fostering a sense of public space and community. The lighting was responsible for attracting visitors to the building’s restaurants, stores, and galleries.
Our team’s narrative was inspired by the sea’s colors and movement. The vertical fins were illuminated from the backside with custom-designed LED profiles, creating a gradient of light and recreating the waves. Several polycarbonate panels with various finishes and internal structures were mocked up to determine which one had the best spread of light and glow.
The facade lighting is set to static warm white tones by default, with the dynamic “wave of light” effect reserved for special occasions.
