The proximity of the building to the sea and the shoreline influenced the lighting design concept. Our lighting story involved contrasting the rise and fall of sand dunes against a backdrop of sea waves. This concept was thus translated onto the façade via a relatively simple yet contemporary lighting scheme. Our lighting strategy aimed to highlight the architecture’s generous volumetric language while also targeting specific lighting treatments to express specific architectural details. We used linear lighting to highlight the architecture’s unique detailing, highlighting horizontal and vertical profiles and creating a smooth overall flow of movement.
