Description
LOCATION: DOHA, QATAR
USE: HOSPITALITY – HIGH RISE
Scope: INTERNAL, EXTERNAL, FAÇADE& LANDSCAPE LIGHTING DESIGN
The façade lighting scheme’s main goal was to interpret and enhance the architectural design intent, as well as to celebrate the magnificent project’s location. This was accomplished by emphasizing the overlapping layers of glazed skin around the core, each layer representing a flower petal on the verge of blossoming. The lighting color scheme was composed of various shades of warm white, carefully chosen to reflect the colors of sunrise as seen at the sea’s horizon.
The landscape areas were lit subtly and elegantly, with indirect linear lights that matched the tower and podium. Warm color temperatures create an intimate atmosphere and guide residents and visitors through the complex’s outdoor areas.
Internal lighting is divided into decorative, general, and accent lighting, creating rich multi-layered spaces with a relaxed but sophisticated feel. The main areas are given character and three-dimensionality by custom-made suspended pieces inspired by the interior design narrative.
