ESAB Middle East asked our team to provide a lighting solution that would comply with LEED for New Constructions Rating System credits SS8, EAPr2, EA1 and EQ6.1 in order to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
Our main approach for internal areas was to propose a base + task lighting scheme, providing base lighting in rest and circulation areas while focusing on where task lighting was needed to keep lighting power density to a minimum.
To make the most of the allowed power load, special consideration was given to the use of low consumption lamp sources, low loss control gears, and high efficiency fixtures.
We were able to provide a solution that went above and beyond the requirements after extensive calculations and analysis, assisting in the achievement of all four credits.
