Description
LOCATION: MANAMA, BAHRAIN
USE: HOSPITALITY
Scope: FAÇADE & LANDSCAPE LIGHTING DESIGN
The Miami lifestyle inspired the façade lighting concept, which included beach and sun themes. The central concept was to capture the moment the sun sets along the skyline and beach horizon, reflecting the soft and gradient beams of light scattered across the sky.
The goal was to create a simple yet elegant final product that would give guests a sense of comfort and openness, which is why a warm color temperature was chosen throughout the façade and why the lighting effects are soft and gradient rather than direct and sharp.
The landscape lighting was designed to provide guests and residents with a memorable journey. As they explore the landscape, their path is illuminated by soft indirect lighting that reflects off the surroundings, giving the impression that light comes from within nature.
The emphasis was on focal points to add an exciting and appealing touch, which could be seen from both the ground and upper levels. By using reflections and a balanced play of light and darkness, these additions are meant to highlight the unique finishes.
