Description
LOCATION: DUBAI, UAE
USE: HOSPITALITY
Scope: INTERNAL & FAÇADE LIGHTING DESIGN
Rose Rayhaan by Rotana, at 333 meters and 72 stories, is the world’s tallest hotel tower and the flagship property of the renowned hospitality brand. Its prime location on Dubai’s famous Sheikh Zayed Road necessitated an external lighting proposal that would highlight the tower’s scale and magnitude while remaining financially viable.
The design strategy was to focus on the key architectural features in order to achieve the greatest visual impact with the least amount of intervention. The elements chosen were the base, insets, corner fins, and coronation, which give the building a bold yet elegant appearance at night.
The internal lighting strategy was designed to create a sophisticated and “cosmopolitan” atmosphere while meeting the functional requirements of such a program.
